Jeff’s love for food and beverage began in his Italian grandmother’s kitchen, which prompted his first job in a pizza parlor at age 15. After graduating from Birmingham Southern College with a degree in business and finance, he attended Comair Aviation Academy, which blossomed into a 19-year career as a commercial airline pilot before he decided to begin his new chapter as an entrepreneur. In 2010, he opened The Wine Loft, an upscale wine bar in Henrico’s West Broad Village. Just two years later, Jeff partnered with fellow restaurateur Chad Hornik to open 250 Sports Grill in Goochland. They continued their business ventures together, offering hospitality consulting, and in 2017, they reinvented Dover Hall, Virginia’s premier destination for unrivaled events, boutique lodging, and unforgettable cuisine. In 2019, the duo transformed The Wine Loft and Spirited Art next door into Bartizan, a full-service restaurant and event venue. Throughout his career, Jeff has been recognized on numerous occasions for his community support, including Richmond BizSense’s Generosity Award for RVA’s Top Corporate Donors. When Jeff is not spearheading business opportunities, you will find him coaching soccer or enjoying life with his two daughters.
